Chat, domains & council

The Chat and Council tabs are where most of the work happens. Everything here is grounded in a domain — Prevail reads that domain’s state, history, and memory before it answers, so you don’t repeat yourself.

Pick a domain

Click any domain in the left sidebar — wealth, health, tax, career. The chat is now scoped to it. Pin the ones you use most so they sit at the top; add a new one with + new domain.

Each domain keeps its own conversation, its own memory, and its own default model and framework. Switching domains switches context completely.

Chat with one model

1. Pick a model in the input bar — an installed CLI (Claude, Codex, Antigravity, Ollama) or any model via OpenRouter.

2. Type and send. The reply streams in live, grounded in the domain.

3. Switch models mid-conversation if you want a second take — context carries across the switch.

Use the framework and lens pickers in the input bar to shape how the answer comes back — Bottom Line Up Front, a decision matrix, a devil’s-advocate pass, and so on.

Convene the council

Switch to the Council tab — or choose Council in the model selector — and ask. Prevail fans your question out to every available model in parallel:

• Each model answers independently.
• A chair model reads all the replies and writes one synthesized verdict.
• A divergence panel surfaces exactly where the panelists disagreed.

Tip

The verdict is the answer; the divergence is the insight. When two strong models split, the reason they split is usually the real decision in front of you.

You choose how many models sit on the council and which one chairs it in Settings → Council.

It remembers, automatically

You never have to “save” a chat. The moment you send a message it becomes a durable intent, and Prevail distills each domain’s conversations into memory that’s read back into the next one. Come back tomorrow and it already knows where you left off.

History & skills

The input bar exposes a couple of shortcuts:

• / history — jump back through this domain’s past turns.
• / skills — run a saved skill for this domain, or distill the current conversation into a new one.
