Demo mode & starter packs

Prevail is demo-first. There’s nothing to configure before you can try the whole app — every launch starts in a realistic, pre-populated vault.

On first launch (and any time you switch back to it), Prevail opens a synthetic household vault — a complete family with ~11 domains, realistic data, and chat history already in place. You can:

  • Browse domains and read their state and memory.
  • Chat and convene the council against real-looking context.
  • Open the benchmark viewer with runs already scored.

Nothing in the demo is real personal data, so explore freely. A banner in the status bar shows you’re in demo mode, with a one-click “set up your own vault.”

When you’re ready for your own vault, you don’t start from an empty folder. Import a starter pack — a ready-made set of domains tuned to a situation:

PackGood for
FamilyA household: wealth, health, kids, home, calendar
GeneralA balanced default set of life-domains
High-IncomeTax, wealth, equity, and planning-heavy domains
FreelancerClients, invoicing, taxes, pipeline
CreatorContent, brand, audience, monetization
Small Business OwnerOperations, finances, team, growth
StudentCourses, applications, finances, career

Each pack drops in pre-structured domains you can rename, prune, or extend — every one is just a folder of markdown.

  1. Settings → Vault (or click the demo banner). Choose a folder for your vault, or let Prevail create one.

  2. Pick a starter pack for your situation — or start minimal and add domains as you go.

  3. Start chatting. From here, every conversation is captured into your vault and distilled into memory.
